PINK NO 4

Pink has brightened the fashion landscape over the last few seasons. We have been urged to shop for pale pink all winter. This may have seemed a bit much as the rains poured down on us. But spring and summer is now in the stores and a variety of delicate pinks are available at all price points.

In Vogue 2012 Plum Sykes wrote a feature on her love of all the shades of rose. It certainly inspired me to think again about this colour that was never one of my favourites for me or when I was working in my role as a trend consultant.

I looked again at this lovely colour and found myself painting my bathroom in the palest pink from Farrow and Ball – Calamine and it is just divine. There is a reason restaurants use pink table cloths – it certainly is a colour that flatters.

To ease myself into pink I love the www.winserlondon.com silk blouse in palest pink, the style is very on trend and will be solving my smart casual moments from now on.

Preen has always been a favourite designer brand and their asymmetric sweater is perfect for everyday cute but not sloany, and the pink dress should tick the box for these modern weddings where one expected to eat drink pray dance over six hours.

Sometimes it pays not to be too ahead in fashion and now seems a good moment to have a go with rose. Kiss kiss.
